This is the first of any updates I receive to keep everyone informed 
about the CineNova TV production of the Cecil's role during the 
1962 Cuban Missile crisis. Links to these updates will appear on the

Email message I received from Capt. Rozier.

Dear Shipmate Crowley,
 
All of us Cecil sailors were happy to get your message that you are now
rehabbing from a very serious operation.  I am recovering myself from a
much less dangerous operation, replacing my 11-year-old pacemaker, and
fortunately everything is going okay.  We wish a speedy recovery for you.
 
You asked me to keep you informed on the developments in the media world.
I think that the Canadian company CineNova is wrapping up their
production.  They got good cooperation from several Cecil sailors who
provided pictures, news items and certificates for use in the
documentary.  It will air on the Discovery Channel on or near 22 October.
 
The book "October Fury" by Captain Peter Huchthausen will be published
the 13th of September.
 
I recently gave another TV production company an interview on Cecil's
part in the missile crisis.  The producer tells me it will air on the
History Channel in October.  So we have three things going which will
mention our ship in connection with the 40th anniversary of the Cuban
Missile Crisis that President Kennedy announced on October 22, 1962.
 
That's all the update I have right now; if anything else turns up I will
pass it along.
