Re: Critiques of March, 1962 Anti Air Warfare Exercises

"Canberra and Cecil lead in intercepts. Combat Air Patrol
much improved this exercise. Cecil outstanding. Canberra
next best. Long range detection best to date. Cecil on top
this area, but all stations good. Cecil as good as they
come this exercise."

Broke off attacks at 2058. Unable to gain attack positions on

Re: Electronic Performance

"Your consistently high performance in radar and ECM detection
of A4D aircraft during ADEX 10/ECMEX 4 exercises indeed gratifying
and worthy example for all picket destroyers. Keep up the good work."

In addition to the USS Charles P. Cecil's record in Fleet Operations,
the conduct of our crew's conduct ashore was unmatched by any ship.
During the entire cruise, we only had one Shore Patrol report.
