I am sorry to inform you of the passing of my father 
Arthur E. Kahler 1952-53, on Feb. 19. He was always 
very proud of his service aboard the "Charlie P". He 
went on to spend 36 years as a police officer,ending 
his career with 18 years as Police Chief of Mill Neck,
N. Y. He often spoke of fighting a fire aboard ship in 
a store room. If anyone has knowledge of this -Please
