Attention. Mr. Al Norman.

I head up the group in opposition to a brand new W/S lifestyle project
proposed to be built on a 395 acre Golf Course in Hudson, New Hampshire
to be known, if competed, as River Place a 2.2 million square foot Mega-Mall/
Lifestyle Center. You can check out their proposed development of their web
site @ RiverPlace.com and see exactly whose lifestyle that they wish to enhance.
We are a town of less than 25,000 people, we have 13,818 registered voters.
At this time a current developer is finishing up on a project
on 10 acres or more on our main thoughfare that will have 12-15 box stores on
that site, known as" Nottingham Place."..The W/S Project is about two plus miles
down the road, (River Place) and directly across the street is a 20 acre parcel
awaiting approval for retail stores to be built known as "Hudson Village"
There are 12 traffic light proposed in this three mile stretch of Lowell Road
in Hudson,a heavily traveled, and at times, very congested for the most part,
two lane road. My supporters and myself age 100 percent against this unprecedented
amount of retail space ( over 3.6 million square feet in total) of the three
proposals to build.

We need help in our opposition to all of these projects, we are sick and tired
of watching the local developers throw their hats into the planning and zoning
board rooms and getting approvals on just about every thing that they want
to do.

We are a small town and are worried about the aftermath of such large scale building
and undesirable retail space. We are deeply concerned with the influx
of traffic that will come into our town, the quality of our air and pollution
of same due to the traffic generated, we are concerned that our wetlands are
to be desecrated as a shunt off the Sagamore Bridge in Hudson, directly into
River Place passes, or will pass, through 6.1 acres of wetlands, wildlife habitat
,and natural areas. We worry about our water supply, where is the sewerage going
to be disposed of? Our aquifers are of deep concern. HGRC
recently voted to a request to the voters of Hudson a proposal to pay to increase
our sewerage flow into the Nashua, N.H. waste water treatment facility by some perentage.
we send12.85 percent of the facilities capacity
from Hudson. The voters after contact by HGRC voted down that warrant article as
all of our supporters took the time and made the effort, to vote it down as I felt
that this increase in the sewerage flow from Hudson to Nashua
would benefit one or two developers who would not have to jump the sewerage hurdle
when push came to shove.

I'm sorry that this is long, however, I felt that I must make you understand where
we are and what we think and why we oppose these developments so vehemently.
I hope that I accomplished that mission. If there is a cost associated with your
wisdom and work, would you kindly let us now what that cost would be to attain your
help in killing the River Place and Hudson Village
development in their embryo stage...Please check out our web site @ HudsonGrassrootsCentral.com
and click on the various links as the more you know us and our problems, the more, hopefully,
we can work together to throttle this horrendous and not needed or wanted Retail
Sprawl, here in our little town of Hudson, N.,H. We are happy and content with
the quality of life that we all enjoy now and the way of life that we and our fellow
townspeople live every day. We don't want River Place, W/S or anyone else disturbing
our way and Quality of Life as we know it today.

A response would be appreciated @ RPeters963@aol.com
