Another Mall on 45 Acres ??
The Nashua Telegraph reported this morning that a 45 acre shopping plaza,
to be known as "Nashua Landing" was going to be built on the Daniel Webster
Highway on the site of the Hampshire Chemical Company.....believe it or not,
their map showed the new Mall on D W Highway as being located directly
across the Merrimack from our own very large problem, "Riverplace" Who in
the name of God is going to shop in all of these stores that are proposed??
Riverplace and Nashua landing are about 100 yards apart, directly across
the river from each other..I can see the lifestyle shuttle boats now cris-crossing
the river so as to get more shoppers into more stores, faster, and.....with
less driving...What in Hell are the City fathers in Nashua doing to continue
to allow more and more into less and less. Don't they care about the residents
of their City, or is it just profit that they're after....I thought Riverplace
was "Overkill personified" but it appears that Nashua Landing is going to take
the cake....Taxes in Nashua have never before been dropped due to any of the
building on D.W.Highway from the Tyngsboro line north right into downtown
Nashua..not even the building of Pheasant Lane Mall dropped the tax rate,
not one cent!! .Riverplace will add to Hudson's tax burden, not help it or
change in in any other way than,
Up,
Up,
UP!!!
No one asked me..just thought I'd pass that along..fuel for the fire, so to speak.
