Ed Crowley picks Mr. Butters

I choose Mr. Butters, my mathematics teacher in my senior year, as my favorite. Since I enjoyed math (most of my classmates didn't) I did very well in the subject. In fact, I believe that what I learned in Mr. Butters' class prepared me well for my future endeavors in the field of electronics and computer science.

All those word problems he forced us to analyze and solve paid off. But it was his mastery of mathematics coupled with his love and enthusiasm for the subject and his students that won him my respect.

When I took the entrance exams at Northeastern in my senior year, I breezed through and aced the mathematics section because of my time spent in Mr. Butters' classroom. My "high five" goes out to Mr. Arthur Butters, who will always rate as 4.0 in my grade book.
