Gary- Here's the info you requested. Sorry it's taken so long... Each JPEG file has a corresponding GIF file with dimensions that satisfy your homepage requirements, I believe... ---------------------> - Cut Here northbase.jpg Map of Northeastern Vermont, Northern New Hampshire and Northwest Maine as well as southern Quebec, Canada. This map was created using seven 1:250,000 scale USGS DEMs and a four level WCS rendering The state and county borders were added using navigation tools from WSI's Weatherspectrum 9000 series of weather graphics computers. The embossing of these borders as well as the county names were done in a professional paintbox system at the station by me. On a 68030 enhanced Amiga 1200 with a SCSI connected Syquest drive (for the data) and 10 MEGs of memory, the rendering took about 24 hours. Points of interest: Mt. Washington, NH in the lower center of the map, entire White Mountain region of New Hampshire (center). Rangeley lakes area of Maine (popular vacation spot) - No Lake or river data included unfortunately :( coastbase.jpg Map of the southern portion of our viewing area. This includes southern and central coastal regions of Maine and seacoast Nee Hampshire. Some of the mountains appear in the upper left hand corner, but this is mostly covered by our logo in actual station use. The state & county borders and names were created in similar fashion to the northbase map. The ocean textures were created by me as a part of the station's new look which went into effect with these new weather base maps as of February 1995. As much as the management of the station would like to believe, there is no embossed 8 in the ocean bottom topography in the Gulf of Maine! Points of interest: Seacoast New Hampshire (Hampton, Seabrook, Portsmouth) lower center left portion of screen. Coastal Maine which includes (from SW to NE) Kittery, Ogunquit, Kennebunkport, Scarborough, Old Orchard Beach, Portland, Freeport, Brunswick, Wiscasset, Rockland, Penobscot bay, half of Bar Harbor (Mt. Desert - pronounced "dessert" island) - far right Also: Lewiston/Auburn (And. County) - Augusta, state capital (Kennebec Co.) ---------------------> - Cut Here Gary, I hope you use these and if you need any others just give me a holler. Please let me know as soon as you guys finish with WCS 2.0 for Intel 80x86. I need it soon! Thanks again for your great product!
