We are at the threshold of a new computing paradigm. The emerging expansion of the user experience into the third dimension, also traditionally known as the z axis, will have as much or more impact as did the introduction of the personal computer, GUIs or the WWW.
 
This was an early exploration and comparison of interfaces, navigational devices, interaction mechanisms, and embedded scenarios found in existing and emerging 3D environments.
